BT will begin operating on Reduced Service on Sunday, May 12th, in Blacksburg; Christiansburg services are not affected.

Explorer and TTT Schedule Changes

Starting Monday 5/13, on weekdays, BT Explorer BLU, GLD, and TTT routes will depart 5-10 minutes later than normal on the first trip of the day. The normal schedule will resume on the second trip.

5/13 – Stop #1627 Closed

Stop #1627 near Cabo Fish Taco will be closed until further notice. Alternate stops: #1628 near the post office or #1626 near Blacksburg Books in Clay Court.

5/13 – HDG & Newman Library Construction

The HDG on campus time check will move to Squires Eastbound (#1110) during construction at Newman Library. No other routes are affected.

Due to difficulties in changed traffic patterns and in order to provide the best service possible, the Explorer Gold (GLD) route will be adjusted begining Monday, 7/12. The following changes will take effect beginning that day:

  • Elimination of the following stops past the Park and Ride: Roanoke/Roger Ebnd (2187), Roanoke.Motor Ebnd (2188), Hampton/Roanoke Sbnd (2190), Hampton Blvd Sbnd (2189), Roanoke/Industrial Wbnd (2191)
    • Deviation requests are permitted for closed stops. Requests can be made by calling 540-443-7111
  • No service to Shoppers Way Wbnd (2209), still serviced by Explorer Blue
  • No service to NRV Theatre (1801), still serviced by Explorer Blue
  • GLD will no longer circle the mall before servicing  stop 1800

Reduced Service Begins 5/12

BT will operate on Reduced Service in Blacksburg from Sunday, May 12th until mid-August. Service ends at 9:45 PM every day. Christiansburg service is not affected.

TTT and Christiansburg Service Schedule Changes

Starting Monday, 5/13, on weekdays, BT Explorer BLU, GLD, and TTT routes will depart 5-10 minutes later than normal on the first trip of the day. This change is to make transferring easier from other routes. They will resume their normal schedule starting with the second trip.
